Intermedia & New Media students at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts
Three of our Intermedia Graduate students and three of our New Media undergraduates attended this years Art School Collaborative at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. It was a diverse and inspiring experience for everyone and our students did a great job of sharing their work and participating in a variety of workshops exploring paper cut installation, creative writing, black smithing, alternative curation and assisting in UM faculty Amy Stacey Curtis with audio and written components of her work as she prepares her last pieces of a nine part / eighteen year series of shows / installations. Our students had a chance to meet, collaborate and review the work of Art students from across the eastern seaboard from Philadelphia to Canada, all on the beautifully relaxing grounds of Haystack. Here are some photos from the weekend of inspiration and collaboration.
