Black Box exhibit of Intermedia student work at Central Gallery

On December 3rd at the Central Gallery in Bangor, UMaine Intermedia faculty Susan Smith and her class created “Black Box”, an exhibit featuring the works of graduate Intermedia MFA students in the grad art program at UMaine. This show lasted throughout the month of December.

Consisting of six portable lockers on wheels, “BlackBox” was an interactive art installment done by six different artists. Ranging from issues of identity and anxiety to marine science and experimental musical instruments, this month’s installment is pulling out all of the stops to make December at the Gallery memorable.

Titles for individual works are as follows:

Christopher Bryant – Skeleton in the Closet
SueAnn Gaitings – Spectacle
Stanley Levitsky – Intonarumori:Reconstruction
Adam Paul – The Fourth Wall
