MFA OPEN HOUSE FEB 6TH
The University of Maine Intermedia MFA program is pleased to announce its annual Open House on February 6th 2014 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. This exhibition will highlight innovative student research and the Intermedia programs new facilities. Students will present a wide range of work including furniture, installation, film, writing and much more. This event is open to the public. Please come and enjoy our creative community, new facilities and free food!
The Intermedia MFA Open House will be located in the IMRC where refreshments will be served. Intermedia graduate work will be highlighted from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm in the IMRC student studios. A guided tour of the building will be offered at 6:00 pm.
The Masters of Fine Arts in Intermedia at the University of Maine provides substantial advanced study for individuals interested in interdisciplinary study in the arts. The program emphasizes intensive development of students’ creative and innovative abilities through a diverse engagement with multiple research processes, critical thinking skills and creative production tools and technologies. The visiting artist series supports and reflects the wide variety of disciplines represented by the program including but not limited to, Art, New Media, Theater, Dance, Philosophy, Art History, Engineering, Communications, Media Studies, Music, Psychology, Natural Sciences, and others.
