September 4, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

This is an important orientation and training session for all new MFA students, to provide the information students need to utilize the labs and other facilities. In order to help things go smoothly on that morning please preregister on our Immerse/IMRC accounts page found at imrcaccounts.com (if you have not already done so). Once this is done students will each receive $50 from the MFA to start their account.

The Phase 1 Basic Safety Training for the Fabrication labs will also be covered during this training session. Please wear sensible work clothing, i.e. no open toed shoes, wear long pants, and if you have long hair please have the option to tie it up. Please see this link for the labs policies and procedures and read before Tuesday. The training session will be presented by Sean Taylor, the Project Manager and Fabrication Technician for the Immerse/IMRC Center.
After the training session a BBQ will be hosted at 1pm. Food will be provided but if you are able and willing you may bring your own sides and other refreshments, though you don’t have to. Please be careful to label any ingredients with seafood or nuts. We look forward to seeing you there!
