Adriana Cavalcanti is a Brazilian artist with background in botany and landscape architecture. Her artwork focus on environmental and social issues. By combining science and art in many ways she depicts important issues. Her favorite media to work with is clay, but she also uses other natural elements such as leaves, seeds, flowers, branches, rocks, moss and soil. She is currently attending the University of Maine Intermedia program, exploring other medias to enrich, enhance, and document the growth of her work.
