Arturo Camacho (José Arturo Camacho Quiroz)
Arturo Camacho is an intermedial artist/maker from Juchitepec, Mexico State,
Mexico. Arturo’s work transitioned from object making to curatorial practices to
currently focus on purpose and function, and the psychological effects of such
when it comes to objects and attachment.
His work is realized through a variety of media such as photography, video,
graphic design, restoration techniques, sculpture, electronics, among others.
Nevertheless, Arturo sees these as functional assets as a maker rather than
medias of focus. Because of this, most of Arturo’s research practice focuses on
acquiring and finding new skills and media.
