Accessible Matrilineal Video Text-Only Description
Seven portrait photographs of women printed on translucent acetate hang from the ceiling. The portraits are three feet long by two feet wide. Each portrait hangs eight inches directly in front of the other, aligned in front of a window. Facing the installation, each portrait is visible in fragments through the portrait in front of it. As the camera pans past each portrait, the individual women are visible and casting shadows onto the subsequent portrait.
